CITY + PEOPLE +ENGINEERING
The Council of Engineer Building represents engineering and offers interactive experiences with technology through a dedicated facility, bringing together engineers, students, and the public for learning, collaboration, and exploration. The newly constructed building is situated on Ladprao Road. The design of the building incorporates the crucial step of the Design Thinking process, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life. The modern masterpiece covers complex engineering works within and stands on a gigantic green space, The building features a sky-green park, inviting people from all walks of life to relax and enjoy its amenities. Additionally, a public library and a Skytrain viewpoint further enrich the experience, ensuring that the building truly becomes a cherished public space accessible to all.
The design of the Council of Engineers Building showcases numerous innovations in both decoration and engineering. For instance, the building structure extends up to 16 meters without the need for columns. The air conditioning system is designed to be energy-efficient, saving 30% more energy through the use of a 2-temperature cold water system and reducing humidity in the air. The building incorporates sustainable practices, such as reusing indoor water for plant irrigation and employing a natural garden for water treatment. A robotic parking system enhances efficiency, while a transparent display disseminates important life information to the city. The building features a wall that reduces sunlight and heat penetration by up to 60%. Moreover, environmentally friendly materials are utilized for landscape and interior building materials, hardscape structures with fiber rebar, and furniture fabric produced was recycled from plastic waste
